One Room Challenge:Week 6- FINAL REVEAL

WE MADE IT!!! We are donzoooo! It’s been a whirlwind six weeks but so fun. It was great to get back into a little design work and having my husband right beside was the icing on the cake. If you would have asked me two years ago if I would move to the country, renovate a farmhouse, and fall deeper in love with my husband during the process; I would have called you CRAY!! But alas, that is exactly what happened! I know this isn’t a marriage post but I really couldn’t resist sharing what happens when you step out of your comfort zone and take risks. Sometimes it pays off more than you could ever imagine.

Okay, no more mushy stuff. Let’s get to the pictures!

If you have been following along you know this is what the living room looked like prior to the renovation. This was the master bedroom (there is a living room at the front of the home). We are turning that into a study/ lounge for my husband…and me. More on that room this summer.

This space now reflects our style. It really is an eclectic mix of everything we love. I have said it before, surround yourself with what and who you love. It’s so refreshing to sit down in the evening and be comfortable in this space. Its not a very large area so everything has to be the perfect size.IMG_1907

Like this coffee table. I designed it and he built it. I love the industrial flair it adds. The L-brackets that connect the pieces are my fave!

We used wood we already had. They are 2×4’s from the local lumber yard. I just took a few tools and hit it to distress it. Then applied the stain and sealed it.

It’s not practical for us to have a chandelier in this space. This industrial fan is perfect and I am telling you it circulates more air than a traditional fan.  I will link the source at the end of this post. (this post is NOT sponsored. All opinions are my own.)

This vintage reproduction crank table is another favorite. Yes, it does actually adjust when you turn the crank!

I can’t resist up close photos. They are everything to me. When I look at magazines, Pinterest, or social media I am sooooo drawn to beautifully laid out vignette shots. For me, its all in the details.

Yes, I staged that throw and I love it. I do it when I’m cleaning up too! Then we snuggle with it every night (even in the summer), what can I say.

I chose the pop of coral pink because I already had the large vase. I think its the perfect accent color.

This blue fabric was my inspiration for the room. I LOVE the pattern and it went great with my vintage blue hutch. My friend created this AHH-MAZING artwork for me. I gave her the fabric swatch and she nailed it. The art ties the whole room together. I will link her info at the bottom of the post as well.

Less is more in any space. I really enjoy empty walls and bare corners. You should always give your eyes a resting place.

One tip for mirror hanging. Make sure it reflects something pretty.  The cedar beams were just added three days ago! Nothing like last minute.

This was a cedar closet, now it’s our daughters art nook. They are really enjoying this space and no they do not keep it this clean. We built in a desk and added some shelves that mirror our kitchen open shelves. A little white paint and done. Oh, we also added a vintage sliding door for a lil character.

Ummmm, I kinda like greenery. Simply cut a few branches and done.

aaaannnnd because we all know this blue baby is the star of the show! This is the originl color, I painted the white with chalk paint and gave it a good clean and light sanding to reveal more chippy goodness.

If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories you know I found the mother load of books last weekend. THE LIBRARY WAS HAVING A YARDSALE!! YES!!!! I bought the books and painted them all white. I didn’t want to take anything away from the hutch.
